Michael Dinsmore, BSc, PhD, MD, FRCPC – Toronto, ON
Dr. Michael Dinsmore is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesia and Pain Medicine at the University of Toronto and a staff neuroanesthesiologist at Toronto Western Hospital. He completed a PhD in Biochemistry followed by postdoctoral research in the development of nanotechnology-based medical diagnostic biosensors prior to obtaining his medical degree. He completed his anesthesia residency at the University of Toronto and a fellowship in Neuroanesthesia at Toronto Western Hospital.
Dr. Dinsmore is the Director of the Neuroanesthesia Fellowship Program and Co-Director of the Advanced Perioperative Innovation Lab (APIL). His research program focuses on technology-driven innovation in anesthesia, including the development of novel perioperative monitoring and diagnostic tools, opioid-sparing strategies in spine surgery, and the clinical application of transorbital ultrasonography.
