Dr. Kreuzer has a strong interdisciplinary background that enables him to investigate the effects of anesthetic agents on brain electrical activity using advanced neurophysiological methods. His research focuses on identifying intraoperative EEG signatures associated with postoperative outcomes, critically evaluating commercial EEG-based depth-of-anesthesia indices, and developing and implementing novel analytical approaches for anesthesia monitoring. In addition to his research, he is actively engaged in advancing EEG by organizing the Safe Brain Initiative’s EEG Bootcamps, where he leads international educational initiatives on perioperative neurophysiological monitoring.
