Phuping Akavipat is an anesthesiologist from the Anesthesiology Department, Neurological Institute of Thailand, Bangkok, Thailand.  He was given the honorary neuro-anesthesia subspecialty board from the Royal College of Anesthesiologists of Thailand in 2005.  Besides the assorted certifications in continuing medical education program received, he completed his Doctoral Degree in Biostatistics and clinical epidemiology in 2016.  He has been working professionally since 1995 in anesthesia related tasks, i.e. services, researches, technology transfer, and post graduated educational program.  He is also the pioneer of the Thai Society for Neuro-anesthesia (TSNA) establishment and currently, he is an advisory board of this society as well as the committee of the Royal College of Anesthesiologists of Thailand and the President-elect of the Asian Society for Neuroanesthesia and Critical Care.  For more than 72 articles issued, the diversity of neuro-anesthesia techniques, neuro-intensive care management, intraoperative neuro-monitoring, and safety in anesthesia are of his interest. Apart from practicing clinical services and active researcher, he has been recognized as an expert in research methodology and biostatistics who has been invited to be an editorial board and participate in many academic meetings worldwide.
