Hon Professor Timothy G Short MB, ChB, MD Otago, FANZCA
Timothy Short is a Specialist Anaesthetist in the Department of Adult and Trauma Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine at Te Toka Tumai Auckland (formerly Auckland City Hospital). He has special interests in intravenous anaesthetic pharmacology, pharmacometrics, depth of anaesthesia, neurosurgical anaesthesia and clinical outcomes research. During his career he has also worked in Australia and Hong Kong.
He is an Honorary Professor in the Department of Anaesthesiology, School of Health Sciences, University of Auckland and a member and past chairman of the executive of the ANZCA Clinical Trials Network. He has an MD in Benzodiazepine Pharmacology, has published over 150 scientific papers 13 book chapters and taken part in over 20 international multicentre clinical outcome studies.
