Bio
I am an Associate Professor and Senior Consultant Anaesthesiologist specializing in the high-stakes f ields of Cardiothoracic and Neuroanaesthesia. My clinical and research portfolio is defined by the management of complex physiological states, with a primary focus on perioperative neuroprotection and prognostication for complex neurovascular surgery. Throughout my career, I have refined anaesthetic protocols for advanced procedures, including STAMCA bypass, awake craniotomies for lesionectomy, epilepsy and functional neurosurgery, and congenital cardiac surgery. My expertise extends to advanced life support technologies, including Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) and invasive cardiology lab (ICL) interventions. My research program seeks to bridge the gap between clinical management and neurological outcomes through the application of neuromonitoring modalities, including processed EEG, Transcranial Doppler (TCD), and novel biomarkers for post-insult prognostication. As a leader of multidisciplinary teams comprising neurosurgeons, cardiologists, and academic researchers, I have successfully secured and completed multiple research grants. With over 60 indexed publications and a citation impact reflecting my contributions to the field, I am committed to advancing evidencebased practices in anaesthesiology and mentoring the next generation of specialists through my roles in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.

Contribution to Science
Optimisation of Complex Neurovascular Management My work has significantly influenced the anaesthetic management of high-complexity neurosurgical cases. By integrating advanced monitoring like TCD and processed EEG, I have contributed to safer outcomes in awake craniotomies and neurovascular bypass procedures. My research focuses on identifying early physiological and biochemical markers that predict long-term neurological recovery.
