Associate Professor Dr. Cheah Saw Kian is a Medical Lecturer in the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She holds a Master’s in Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, the European Diploma in Intensive Care, and a Doctor of Medicine degree from UKM. Her research focuses on neurocritical care and sepsis in critically ill patients, including multimodal neuromonitoring, sepsis-associated brain dysfunction, and clinical risk stratification. She has published extensively in high-impact journals and is actively involved in multiple clinical trials and observational studies. She also contributes significantly to academic supervision and technical committees, and has received several awards, including the Excellent Service Award.
