Dr. Audrey Tan MBBS, FRCA is a consultant Anaesthetist at St. George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in London, United Kingdom, where she serves as the departmental lead for neuroanaesthesia. She is an adult and paediatric neuroanaesthetist with a special interest in functional neurosurgery and complex spine surgery.
Dr. Tan is deeply committed to medical education and professional development. She is the college tutor and neuroanaesthesia fellowship director at her institution, where she oversees postgraduate training and mentorship of anaesthesia trainees and fellows. In addition, she was a senior lecturer at St. George’s, University of London. She is a final FRCA examiner for the Royal College of Anaesthetist.
Beyond her clinical and educational responsibilities, Dr. Tan is actively engaged in professional leadership. She serves as a council member of the Neuroanaesthesia and Critical Care Society, contributing to the advancement of neuroanaesthesia practice within the United Kingdom.
Dr. Tan received her medical degree from University College London. She completed her specialist training at King’s College Hospital in London before undertaking advanced fellowship training in neuroanaesthesia at Toronto Western Hospital in Canada.
